This article explains how to create a page and what it actually means. Creating a page is usually done by using the search function, which may sound odd but in reality is quick and effective. This software was created to enable front-end users to easily create and edit pages without complicated logins and administration rights. Everything is available from the front-end. You don't even have to login to perform this function (unless this has been changed by the administrator to prevent spam). The process to create a new page is straightforward and can be without prior experience or knowledge of using this software.
Step one
- Click inside the search box and type the name of page you want to create
- Click on search or press the return key.
- In the list of search results click on the red link – this should be the name you have just typed in.
Step two
- In the text editor add the information you want in the article. You can add text, images and templates.
- Preview your work using the show preview button at the bottom of the text editor. Ensure you are happy with the results.
- Click on the blue save page button. Your work will be saved and the article available straight away.
Step three
- There is no step three, you created a new page in just two steps!
- Ok, maybe double-check everything again, make sure it is grammatically correct.
Another way to create a page is to follow a red link that already exists in another article page elsewhere. Follow step two and that's about it for the basics.
Please note: creating/adding categories is beneficial to site browsing and navigation so please ensure you include one or more categories that best fits the article's subject.
