A path running parallel along side the lake makes for easy walking. At this point there is another viewing place similar to that of Friar's Crag with wide open views across the southern half of Derwentwater towards Grange in Borrowdale.

The water immediately to the left of this photo is that of Calfclose Bay; another curving bay which includes the Hundred Year Stone.
