Cunsey Beck

From The English Lakes

Cunsey Beck is a stream that outflows Esthwaite Water and replenishes Windermere. Compared to other rivers and becks in the Lake District, Cunsey is relatively short at just 3.2 kilometres (1.98 miles). Its journey starts from the southern end of Esthwaite Water, and shortly after, becomes the inflow for Out Dubs Tarn, a small hydrosere tarn south-west of the village of Near Sawrey. From there it descends slowly south, and then south-west, bordering the coniferous and deciduous Bishops Wood to the north, and Cunsey Wood to the south, before flowing under Cunsey Bridge on its final stage towards Windermere. Its point of entry is near the island of Ling Holm.
