Photographs by elevation provide an approximation only. Using gps to measure elevation above sea level with devices designed specifically for this purpose would ensure a more accurate grouping. Measuring this with other devices such as smartphones can only provide a ballpark figure and cannot be taken as 100% accurate due to fluctuations and minor discrepancies in the results. An example of this is two images taken on level ground a few metres apart could give elevation readings of several metres difference: one at 24 metres and the other at 27 metres. For this reason alone these categories are grouped in 25 metre increments.
