Hodge Close Quarry is a disused green slate quarry that ceased production in the late 1930s. Today the flooded quarry floor provides a technical underwater space for divers to explore the tunnels, and the sheer cliff edge a steep drop for abseilers. It is a very popular spot for walkers en route to other locations nearby. There is a small car park with limited parking.
